Jack

Jack is one of the younger brothers of Tony. Tony is staying with us for a while now. On a family visit he heard that Jack was not doing well. Tony was very concerned and when a spot openend in our home he begged us to take in Jack.

The father of Jack and Tony is deaf and is taking care of 4 boys. Raising boys in this culture is very difficult when you can not hear what is happening. They also live in a very unsafe neighborhood with a lot of poverty and violence.
Jacke came in contact with the wrong friends. In stead of going to school he went to the shopping mall to beg for money. Eventually he ended up in the city. The father and Tony looked everywhere for him. They found him with some older boys in town. They used Jack to beg for more money and give it to them.

Jack is a very sweet boy who likes to stand besides you. You have to be aware not to turn around too fast and stumble over him. He likes to help, but his understanding power has to grow some more. He loves to laugh and is beginning to tell more stories. He is getting better in standing his ground towards others in the group.

Sindce January 2017 Jack is attending school and started in class 1. In the beginning Jack was very quiet and could not speak one English word. When he became more comfortable in the home he started to speak more English. He learned to read, because of Tony who stimulated him very much in practising.

When Jack is mature he wants to become an engineer.
